moxymill enters CRUSH mode with new song "Higher" for "NTT Docomo JWC Support Theme Song" ~ Breaking new ground with songs, music videos and performances ~
news
NTT Docomo Studio & Live, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has released the fourth digital single, "Higher," by its girl group moxymill (pronounced: moxie mile) on July 26th.
moxymill is known for their unique style in which each member is assigned Charm (concept) such as "CUTE", "COOL", or "CRUSH", and the center and Charm roles switch for each song.
Their first album was the "POP" song "Living Free", their second album was the "COOL" song "Knight Rising", and their third album released in June was the "SWEET" song "Melo Melonete Melomelo", expressing different worldviews according to their Charm.
And with this latest album, "Higher," the group breaks new ground with a "CRUSH" feel that is the polar opposite of their previous album.
"Higher" is based on the classic song "Kusikos Post", and is a bold reconstruction of the sound with both unease and heaviness. It is a provocative and powerful number that expresses the will to run strong and high without letting anyone get in the way.
It has also been chosen as the "NTT Docomo JWC Support Theme Song" for the match between Yokohama F. Marinos and Liverpool FC to be held at Nissan Stadium on Wednesday, July 30th.
On Sunday, July 27th, the Story MV, which strongly reflects the worldview of moxymill, was also released.
In contrast to the stories of "cooperation" depicted in previous works, this work unfolds a dark worldview depicting rifts between members, and also features shocking scenes such as trucks flipping over and explosions. This is the most shocking video work in the history of moxymill.
In addition, they will appear at the "Survive FES" commemorating the Osaka-Kansai Expo on July 26th (Sat) and 27th (Sun), where they will perform "Higher" for the first time.
The audience was left breathless by the power and high level of synchronization of their foot-stomping performance at the beginning of the song, and they really livened up the festival as the opening act.

■“Higher” Story MV Director Comment // Director: KEIJU ITAI
This time, from every angle
The theme is "CRUSH"
I tried everything.
I deliberately did not use group cuts.
The film is structured to focus on the perspectives of each of the six people.
In addition, the film contains many homages and references to various video works.
I would be happy if each viewer could find their own answer.
This work was created by moxymill and all of its staff working together.
You'll definitely feel an excitement you've never seen in any music video before.
